Overall Rating

Overall Rating icon

Onlinestrength’s Overall Rating score is based on a product’s overall rating after its quality rating, effectiveness rating, and ingredient rating has been measured, reviewed, and scored.

Every product is reviewed and penalized for not meeting our quality review, ingredient review, and effectiveness review. Any time a product doesn’t match up to the highest standards for that specific product category it is penalized in points. Penalties are twice as heavy for products that contain any ingredients deemed unsafe by FDA, California’s Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment, Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry (ATSDR), and United States Environmental Protection Agency (US EPA). With this overall rating an assessment can be made by the customer quickly and accurately as to what to expect from this supplement. Any product that scored below a 3/5 stars will automatically fail our quality review and its review will reflect its poor score.

Quality Rating

Quality Rating icon

Onlinestrength’s Quality Rating score is based a product’s overall quality which includes everything from active ingredients, additives, to certifications, and manufacturer processes.

Products are penalized for using low quality ingredients, especially if there are competitor products that use higher quality ingredients. Products are also knocked in quality for not providing proper “organic” certifications. If a product uses plastic containers, quality can be negatively effective especially if other products in the same category use glass containers. Each products additives and fillers are looked at carefully and are evaluated for their potential harmful effects on human health. We also cross reference the FDA guidelines for “Generally Recognized As Safe” (GRAS) on these additives and fillers. We judge products very harshly when it comes to these potentially harmful ingredients and the final quality ratings reflect this.

Final Ranking

Ranking icon

Onlinestrength’s Ranking score is based on a product’s final assessment. The product is given a ranking based on how well it performed and place on a list with its competitors.

Every product is assessed on its ingredients, quality, and effectiveness, however sometimes you have two or more products that are VERY similar in evaluations, so how do we pick which one is #1 on the list? We look at smaller differences such as brand quality, customer satisfaction, 3rd-party laboratory tests, age of the product on the market, brand trust, packaging, social media, shipping, availability, and certifications. We go narrow til we can find the product most deserving of the #1 spot. Products are then place on a ‘top 10 list’ and ranked in order from the best to the worst.
